Diana’s Sewing Shop

Overview

Diana took over an alteration business in Reigate town centre and wanted to make it her own. The original branding was garish and not at all how she wanted to portray her services. She was looking for something more classic that would reflect her Italian roots and the market she was working in. We were asked to look at branding, logo and web presence for Diana, plus ongoing IT support for her business.

Context & Challenge

The branding came about as a joint effort between us and some friends. It took a while to get it right, and when we got the idea for the needle in the “D” it started to fall in to shape. The image Diana wanted to create was that of a friendly and professional service that was still valued in the community.

We worked on focusing the look and feel of the website towards her target market, keeping navigation simple and information easy to find. Diana’s reputation was well known in town so it was a case of making sure the new online presence matched that.

Processes & Insights

We wanted to bring something of Diana to the website so offered her a few options to chose from. She opted for a more traditional design as she felt this better reflected her customers and what they would expect.

Testimonials were important, and she had loads! Some of the garments she handles are precious to their owners, so new customers needed to know that they were in safe hands. These were added to ensure the quality of service shone through.

We added a small shop when she started making masks during Covid lockdown – this allowed her to keep working behind closed doors and also drove new business to her shop and website.

Solution

The request was for: a new logo, branding, shop make over, website, business advice and ongoing IT support and maintenance. All delivered in under 4 weeks!

Result

A fully functioning info website with a small shop offering one item that is made by hand by Diana. The look and feel match the image that Diana wants to portray to her client base and will help her attract new business.
